www.wbjournal.com Worcester Business Journal Business Profiles 2014 11 D oes your business rely on high-quality printed material to communicate with customers? If you answered yes, you can turn to Curry Printing to help man- age your workload and improve your results with all your printing needs. For more than three decades, Curry has served both large and small companies, building a reputation for excellence in the printing industry. Curry Printing is a privately held company run by two brothers, Peter and Joe Gardner. Peter is the President while his brother, Joe Gardner, is the company's Executive Vice President. When Curry was established in the early 80's, Peter and Joe really didn't know for sure where their company would go however they did have great ambition. Fast forward to 2014 and we find Curry servicing a diverse portfolio of clients with a heavy focus on making their clients' jobs easier, saving them time and helping them to get better results. Peter says, "We had no idea 33 years ago we would be in the time management, productivity and stress reduc- tion business today. Back in the 80's, it was all about the quality of the print job. Times have changed and with the advent of new technology, it's easier than before to get quality print. We pride ourselves on the high standard of our work but are also amazed to find what people really want and need these days besides quality print is someone who can help manage and reduce their workload. That's really what differentiates us from other high quality print- ers… We take the load off of our clients and make their jobs easier," Gardner explains. Curry was founded in Worcester and was headquar- tered there for its first quarter century in business. In 2005, the decision was made to move corporate headquar- ters and expand their main production facility to a 17,000 square foot building on Route 9 in Westborough. The move was very strategic with the goal being to create a centralized location that allowed Curry to continue to service its existing Worcester-based clients while putting it in a better position to go after more clients to the east. They converted their old headquarters into a digital print center that continues to be the hub of their Worcester business. Since 2006, Curry has widely expanded its foot- print throughout Metrowest and into the Boston market. Besides making clients' jobs easier and reducing their stress level, Curry focuses on helping their customers achieve better results. Recently, the company invested in a state-of-the-art HP Indigo digital offset press, which cre- ates individually customized high-quality, four-color doc- uments. This allows them to personalize each piece they print resulting in more effective marketing campaigns for its customers. Curry Printing recognizes that without its dedicated and loyal staff, the company would not have attained the success it has achieved. "Most of our employees have been with us for more than 20 years," says Joe Gardner. Highly qualified employees with excellent customer service skills and passion for their work strive to establish relationships with all its clients. Before it became fashionable, Curry implemented an Environmental Vision and Management Policy, which includes recycling, Forestry Stewardship and the purchase of renewable energy credits. "As a responsible printer and a company interested in sustainability, we're focused on doing our part to reduce the impact of printing on our natural resources," says Joe Gardner. The company received the Worcester Business Journal's 2014 Best of Business award and the Award of Excellence from Printing Industries of New England (PINE), a regional trade association. For 18 consecutive years, Curry has been certified by Quick Printing Magazine as one of the Top 100 quick commercial printers in North America. Additionally, co-owners Peter and Joseph Gardner devote time to community service as past presidents and board members of a variety of organizations, including the Worcester County Food Bank, the Rotary Club, Corridor Nine Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Printers and Lithographers and Printing Industries of New England. Curry Printing is a longstanding member of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce. As Curry Printing continues to produce high-quality, award-winning print products and earn acclaim from industry organizations, the ISO-certified company antici- pates further growth and expansion, always keeping cus- tomer satisfaction as the #1 priority. n Curry Printing Imagine • Print • Communicate w e s t b o r o u g h , m a curry Printing Address: 190 Turnpike Road, Westborough, MA Phone: 800-540-4993 Website: www.curryprinting.com Product or Service: Full service printing company, offering prepress and design services, digital and offset printing, bindery and mailing services No. of Employees: 30 Head of Company: Peter Gardner, President; Joseph Gardner, Executive Vice President Year Founded: 1981
