However, the com- pany's net loss of $321,223 is deeper than the $252,453 shortfall it declared last year. Despite the numbers, the company's CEO, Joseph Forkey, said the quarter "marked further progress" in the company's growth and develop- ment. WESTBOROUGH — United Medical Systems of Westborough and its parent firm have acquired a privately held litho- tripsy company that provides services to kidney patients in Texas and Oklahoma, according to a statement from United. United, which specializes in transport- able medical services, announced the acquisition of Litho of America, which provides services related to the treat- ment of kidney stones and benign pros- tatic hyperplasia to more than 40 hospi- tals and ambulatory surgical centers in the two southwestern states. The price of the deal was not disclosed. Litho is based in Oklahoma City. United is owned by New State Capital Partners, a New York private investment firm. ACTON — Video software manufac- turer SeaChange International, seek- ing more business in the Asia-Pacific region, has hired a market veteran to lead its operations on that side of the world, the company announced. Dave Ulmer has been named senior vice pres- ident and general manager for Asia- Pacific operations. He has held executive roles with several technology providers, such as SingTel, LG Electronics and Motorola, according to a statement from SeaChange. He has also served as vice chairman of the Mobile Entertainment Forum. WORCESTER — The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce will host players from both sides of the Boston Olympics debate as they discuss the potential implications for Worcester. In two separate events, the chamber will bring in representatives from the Boston 2024 Partnership group, which is sponsoring the bid to bring the Games to Massachusetts in 2024, and the No Boston Olympics opposition group. Both events will allow local business owners and chamber members to gain more information on the bid process, potential impacts from the Games, and Worcester's potential involvement, according to the chamber. The first event will be held Tuesday, March 10 and will feature Richard Davey, former state transportation sec- retary and now CEO of the Boston 2024 Partnership. On Friday, March 13, the chamber will host Chris Dempsey and Kelley Gossett, who co-chair the No Boston Olympics Group. The Mohegan Tribe of Uncasville, Conn., plans to open 10 sandwich shops in southern Worcester County and Rhode Island as the owners of the Mohegan Sun resort casino continue to diversify their business holdings. Jersey Mike's Subs, based in New Jersey, award- ed the tribe franchise territory covering the two regions. The first two shops will open in the next nine months. A spokes- man for Jersey Mike's, Kyle Potvin, said the company is actively looking for sites in Worcester County and Rhode Island, but none have been selected yet. The tribe, which operates three resort casi- nos, established a separate Mohegan Holding Co. to diversify into non-gam- ing areas such as restaurants, wood pel- lets, manufacturing and office solutions. Sales of single-family homes in Massachusetts decreased for the first time since September, according to The Warren Group. The Boston-based real estate research organization said 2,685 single-family homes were sold across the state in January, down 2 percent from January 2014. This is the fewest sales since February 2014, when 2,078 houses were sold. Timothy M.
