Fundraising Events/Opportunities • Heart of the Commonwealth, September 20, 2014 The Heart of the Commonwealth celebrates the many mission-related activities and volunteers that we have in Central Massachusetts with an evening of wine tasting, en- tertainment and auctions at the Tower Hill Botanic Garden. • Heart Walk, May 2015 The Central MA Heart Walk celebrates the year-round wellness initiatives in the community. More than 1,000 members of the community come out to DCR's Quinsigam- ond State Park, Lake Park, each spring to celebrate success, inspire change and create hope. Community partners host activity and informational tents as part of an expo for the walkers before the stage program and survivor Red Cap Wave. The walk offers two routes within the park: 2.5 or 5 miles, with a post-walk celebration and band in Lake Park. Employers and community members are encouraged to form teams.
