Parental oppor- tunities include joining the RCDC Parent Task Force, attend- ing Family Events, volunteering and attending workshops. • Implement innovative STEAM (Science, Technology, En- gineering, ART and Math) learning experiences to engage children in STEAM skills and proficiencies. • Maintain Rainbow Child Development Center's high standards associated with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation, Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) Standards, and MA Curriculum Frameworks. • Increase Family Child Care Educators' specialized knowledge of early childhood development and meet MA QRIS standards and Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. • Implement healthy lifestyle and nutrition programs. Key initiatives include increasing students' practice of recogniz- ing, growing, cooking and eating nutritious food. • Rainbow will continue to recognize and strengthen the vi- tal role and positive influence our community partnerships have on children's achievements. Below is the list of volunteer opportunities where passion and positivity are the only requirements. • Committee Involvement: Advancement, Special Events, Playground and Advisory Board • Share your special skill or hobby with school-age children, between the hours of 3-5:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed to read with children, play a board game or share a creative talent. • Foster children's mind growth by mentoring a school age child who enjoys Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. • Lead small groups of children in music, dance, theatre, gardening or yoga. • Join the Center's Parent Task Force. • Attend the Center's art exhibits, family events and literacy celebrations.
