Kennedy Community Health Center Future Goals As a community health center, Kennedy CHC has always provided comprehensive care to its patients, who are at disparate risk for chronic disease and poor health outcomes. As a federally-qualified community health center, we continually struggle with cost of care versus reimbursement practices. As such, the organization needs the support of businesses, community leaders and others as it strives to provide medical and dental services to the area's most vulnerable populations, thus unburdening the financial and physical constraints of our current medical delivery system. Without Kennedy CHC, 25,000 patients a year would have little or no access to primary care; their health and well be- ing impacts the quality of life in Central Massachusetts. To move this agenda forward, six major goals highlight the organization's strategic path for the next five years: Strong financial performance, Best in Class Clinical Care, Expand our Reach, Operational Excellence, Employer of Choice and Innovative Technology. Short-term goals focus on regional expansion to meet the ever-increasing demand for acces- sible health care. Fundraising Events/Opportunities Kennedy CHC hosts a Giving Tree at each of its sites. Donors to the organization can purchase a leaf on the tree and their gift will be recognized in the lobby of the medical facility of their choosing. We also host various raffles for staff, sponsor other events and provide welcome gifts of tickets to sport- ing events, local cultural and entertainment programs and other similar venues. Other Kennedy CHC programs and events are listed in the monthly newsletter, Shaping the Future of Healthcare, authored by our President and CEO, Antonia "Toni" McGuire. Visit the website at www.kennedychc.org to sign up. Volunteer Opportunities Volunteers are always welcome at Kennedy CHC. Help is needed in our administrative areas, as well as in assisting in keeping our facilities fresh and up-to-date for our patients. Volunteers can give us as much time as they have available and we always strive to find the best fit so that they feel valued and that their time is well-spent. Giving Opportunities Under the guidance of the Board-appointed Advancement Committee, the organization will be launching an annual appeal and other fundraising programs throughout the year. Past funding sources include many of our wonderful local Worcester Foundations and Kennedy CHC recognizes these outstanding organizations for their continued support of the Health Center throughout its 42-year history. Donations can be made directly on the website at www. kennedychc.org. In-kind support is welcome for sport- ing or event tickets for raffles/auctions; refreshments for patient groups and specific projects/events; and business services such as printing, graphic design, photography and videography.
