Fundraising Opportunities • Plantapalooza - annual plant sale held in May featuring a variety of high-quality plants, local crafters, a cookie walk and free tomato plant giveaway. • Harvest Home Festival & 5K - annual family-friendly event held in November with food, music and fall farm activities. Both events are held at Brigham Hill Community Farm location and are open to the public. CHP welcomes corporate sponsorship for their Harvest Home Festival & 5K event, Sunday, 11/2/2014. Expected attendance is 1,500 and sponsorship benefits include recognition on event t-shirt and promotional materials, social media exposure and more. Contact execdir@community-harvest.org for more information on becoming a corporate sponsor. Visit www.community-harvest.org/events for more information about CHP events. Volunteer Opportunities • Volunteer Farming Program — community members of all ages, affiliations and abilities plant, tend, harvest, wash and box fresh fruits and vegetables, which are donated for hunger relief. Groups of up to 100 volunteers schedule visits in advance; individuals are welcome to drop-in between 9 a.m. and noon during peak season, May through August. Groups may use CHP's space, equipped with A/V system, commercial kitchen and gas grills, for corporate outings. For more information, visit www.community-harvest.org or email volunteer@community-harvest.org. Giving Opportunities Financial contributions from community members build CHP's capacity to improve access to healthy foods for more individuals and families in Worcester County. Each dollar donated equals three servings of fresh produce grown and donated. Donations may be made securely online or by mail at any time. Unique giving opportunities include: • Adopt-A-Row - a year-round campaign that provides donors a chance to be recognized through row signs on the farm with gifts of $250 or more. • Dimes For Dinners - Fundraising kits include tubes, which community members fill and return to CHP. Each full tube provides funding to grow one week's worth of vegetables for one person in need. Visit www.community-harvest.org/donate for more ways to give.
