14 Worcester Business Journal • Giving Guide 2014 www.wbjournal.com Bottom Line Future Goals 1. Expand Success Program: We will provide one-on-one, in-person guidance to approximately 380 low-income or first-generation college students from Worcester attending one of 20 Massachusetts regional colleges. 2. Help Students Graduate: We offer students one-on-one guidance from the beginning of the college application pro- cess until the completion of a degree. Our goal is that at least 80% of our college students will graduate within six years; 84% of our most recent class completed a degree within six years. 3. Grow Career Program in Worcester: Career counselors will provide targeted vocational support to our college juniors and seniors. Our explicit focus on career services has yielded strong results and has become a strength of our organization; 78% of the Class of 2013 had a career-relevant opportunity or were enrolled in graduate school within three months of receiving their diploma. Nationwide, only about 50% of all college graduates (including high income students) were employed or in graduate school in the same time frame.
