The move took Massachusetts officials by surprise and left about 700,000 square feet of vacant office space at Fidelity's campus on Puritan Way. In July, American Superconductor of Devens revises its revenue figures down- ward for two quarters because of "defi- ciencies in its internal control over finan- cial reporting," the company says. The announcement came three months after the company — now called AMSC — announced that a Chinese customer refused to accept shipments of wind tur- bines it had ordered. Within the next two months, company founder Greg Yurek retired. In September, the company announced it lost $186.3 million in its previous fiscal year on revenue of $286.6 million. 2011 Greg Yurek, American Superconductor's founder, retired in 2011 amid setbacks at the Devens firm. >> Continued on Page 64
