New in 2014 was the Kenneth D. Kramer Blacksmith Shop exhibit that explains the important role of blacksmithing in the construction of wooden ves- sels. Several changing exhibits will enhance permanent exhibits in 2015, illustrating collection themes that include shipbuilding and maritime trades, engines and tools, international commerce, fishing, art, marine recreation and life at sea. Details will be available at www.MaineMaritimeMuseum.org. New and enhanced daily (seasonal) tours, cruises and educational programs will bring Maine's maritime history and present to life in 2015. And more of MMM's library, recognized as one of the nation's top maritime libraries, will be digitized for online access for students and scholars. Other major projects scheduled for 2015 include a major new lobstering exhi- bition and planning for the Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse Lens exhibit. funDRAiSinG eventS/oPPoRtunitieS e Museum is open 362 days a year and greets 60,000 visitors from Maine and around the world, so it is not surprising that there are hundreds of ways to enjoy and participate in what is going on at Maine Maritime Museum.
