In 2014, Crossroads celebrates its 40th anniversary of saving lives by providing quality care through our proven modality of gender-responsive treatment. We serve both women and men using this evidenced-based practice. For 2015 we aim to increase the number of clients served, focusing on com- munity outreach to reduce barriers to accessing treatment for low income Mainers. We are increasing our fundraising efforts to provide client scholar- ships for men and women who cannot afford treatment – either with or with- out health insurance. In 2013 we created the Barbara L. Dacri Scholarship Fund that allows supporters to directly fund treatment and care for clients. We are also looking to expand relationships with in-state and out-of-state health care and insurance providers to increase client and provider awareness of our two residential treatment centers and outpatient counseling centers. We plan to create more opportunities for clients to take advantage of treatment at Crossroads "to remember who they wanted to be." funDRAiSinG eventS/oPPoRtunitieS f Oct. 23, 2014: Crossroads Annual Gala will be held from 6-9 p.m. in Portland at the Masonic Temple.
