WE ARE CATHOLIC CHARITIES. Each day, the employees and volunteers of Catholic Charities Maine come to the aid of the poor and vulnerable of all faiths across the state. We see the faces of people suffering from mental illness, hurt and frightened children, those fallen victim to loneliness and isolation, those battling addictions, anxious refugees, and thousands of others who have been stripped and beaten by circumstance. A faith-based, non-profit organization, we have been serving Mainers since 1966. We helped more than 48,700 of our neediest neighbors last year, answering want with generosity and replacing despair with hope. Our 25+ programs serve over 48,700 Mainers statewide: ensured 6,000+ children ate nutritious meals and snacks provided 5,200+ with quality dental & orthodontic care aided 2,200+ seniors and adults with disabilities in living independently provided 3,400+ with translation & interpretation services supported 3,000+ through our Parish Social Ministry served 1,500+ with mental health services treated 900+ for substance abuse welcomed 350+ refugees with compassion & resettlement services educated 400+ children at our Child Development Centers fed 24,100+ through our Food Bank www.ccmaine.org 1-800-781-8550
