Each year we strive to ensure all families living within Androscoggin County are strong, healthy and safe. We understand children's early experiences provide the foundation for suc- cess in school and in life. Knowing this, we believe parents are their child's first and most influential teachers and we strive to support parents in this very important job. In the coming year we will do so by providing programs that educate parents about topics such as child development, health and safety, dis- cipline strategies, divorce, nurturing and attachment. Our programs – whether conducted at our office, within the community or within a family's home – provide a space for parents to share their thoughts, feelings, ask questions and receive reliable information. Other goals include implementing a new data- tracking system for prevention programs, implementing community based nurturing workshops and conducting a needs assessment that will inform our future programming and services. funDRAiSinG eventS/oPPoRtunitieS f Annual holiday festival for Children will be held Dec. 6, 2014 at St. Dominic High School in Auburn.
