The opening of our new Lewiston campus (Fall 2026) and the continued development of regional service hubs in Portland, Bangor and Lewiston will bring multiple programs together under one roof improving access for clients, creating greater opportu- nities for collaboration with partners, strengthening connections with local parishes, and increasing organizational efficiency. Growth areas include supportive housing and recovery ser- vices, food security in northern Maine, and access to afford- able childcare for working families, while pursuing long-term funding opportunities that strengthen housing stability, recov- ery, and self-sufficiency for those we serve. Catholic Charities remains committed to responding to emerging community needs through strategic partnerships, responsible stewardship, and mission-driven innovation. As one of Maine's largest private human service agencies, we will continue to foster and build strong relationships with donors, foundations, businesses, and community partners whose support makes our mission possible. AWARDS Catholic Charities Maine is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation, is a Better Business Bureau accredited char- ity, earned a Platinum Transparency rating from Candid, and 4-stars (the highest ranking) from Charity Navigator. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES Catholic Charities Maine's (CCM) hosts the annual Put Children First Golf Classic each September in Southern Maine to sup- port childcare scholarships for low-income families at our two child development centers in Southern Maine. We welcome sponsors at various monetary levels, volunteering at the event, and enrolling teams! Drop Boxes are available for businesses. As a proud United Way agency, we value businesses that encourage employee donations by matching funds. We accept vehicle donations of cars, trucks, boats, motor- cycles, trailers, and more — even if they're no longer in working condition. Towing is free, and donors receive a tax credit. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES With more than 20 programs serving people across the state of Maine, we have plenty of opportunities for volunteers to lend a hand, and the need is always great. Whether it's knitting hats and scarves for our annual Wall of Warmth giveaway, checking on an older neighbor, reading to children at our Child Development Centers, providing volunteer legal services to a new Mainer, sort- ing donations at our Thrift Stores, supporting staff at our offices statewide, or helping with our annual golf tournament, volunteers make our mission possible.
