FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES United Way's primary fundraising effort begins each fall with our annual campaign, supporting community impact initiatives across Kennebec County. Businesses can get involved through workplace campaigns, corporate gifts, event sponsorships, and participation in key fundraising initiatives. The season begins with our August Golf Scramble, which gen- erates the campaign's first contributions, followed by Pacesetter businesses that "set the pace" by launching early workplace campaigns and building momentum. A highlight of the season is the Campaign Kickoff Breakfast in September, bringing together more than 300 business and community leaders to celebrate early success and energize the months ahead. At the conclusion of the campaign, Cornerstone Businesses are recognized as the top-12 contributors, reflect- ing exceptional commitment to community impact. Together, these efforts foster collaboration and drive the col- lective action that sustains impact year-round.
