In 2027, SeniorsPlus is focused on put- ting this new space to work for our community: growing our Meals on Wheels capacity to meet rising demand, expanding classes and programs in our new education center, and continuing to invest in the workforce that makes it all possible through fair pay, good benefits, and a supportive environment. We also remain commit- ted to leading Maine's fight against ageism, ensuring older adults are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. AWARDS, NATIONAL RANKINGS OR RECOGNITION SeniorsPlus earned the Best Place for Working Parents® busi- ness designation, recognizing our commitment to supporting working parents through family-friendly policies and practices. SeniorsPlus is also regularly recognized on the list of Best Places to Work in Maine. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES Join us each May for the Fill the Plate Breakfast, support- ing Meals on Wheels. Sponsorship and attendance opportu- nities are available. Thanks to donors, businesses, and folks like you, we met our $6.54 million goal for the Encompass Center. Additional donations will allow us to continue serving the full needs of the older adult community. The Encompass Center, 14 Mollison Way in Lewiston, sits right next to our Falcon Road home. What started as a dream on a napkin is now a real place, already making a difference for older adults and adults with disabilities across Western Maine. Our new commercial kitchen means more homebound older adults get a hot, nutritious meal delivered right to their door, and our new convening space is already filling up with classes, support groups, and friendly faces. "This building is a huge milestone for SeniorsPlus, but the work continues. As more people in Maine age, our work con- tinues to grow, and so must we," says Betsy Sawyer-Manter, President and CEO of SeniorsPlus. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES Along with the opportunities listed above, SeniorsPlus conducts an annual appeal each fall. We also seek corporate donations to help us provide the local match required by our federal funding. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES There's a place for everyone at SeniorsPlus, whether it's a one- time visit or an ongoing commitment. We could use a hand in the kitchen, packing and delivering meals, hosting social din- ing sites, helping in the office, serving on our board and com- mittees, or pitching in at fundraisers.
