FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES National Wear Red Day – Feb. 5, 2027: A simple, one-day fun- draiser to increase awareness of heart disease in women while raising funds for research and education. The Association pro- vides all materials for your office. Maine Go Red for Women® Luncheon – March 2027 Chair: Marie Vinneau, President, Northern Light Mercy Hospital Learn more about the leading cause of death in women – car- diovascular disease – and how you can save more lives. The event will feature inspirational guest speakers, health experts, a silent auction, and the presentation of the Crystal Heart award. Maine Heart Walk – May 16, 2027 Join thousands of passionate people touched by heart disease and stroke during the Heart Walk celebration. Help fund lifesaving research as we honor heart disease and stroke survivors in our community. Learn more about cardiovascular risk factors such as diabetes, inactivity, smoking and high blood pressure. Go Red for Women® Purse-Onality – 2027 (date TBD) The 11th annual fundraising event will feature a silent auction of themed purses filled with items reflecting donors' personal- ities such as work, hobbies or family interests. Hear from spe- cial guest speakers, including local medical experts and heart disease survivors, to learn more about women's heart health. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES f Sponsor the Heart Walk or Go Red for Women® events. f Donate auction items or serve on an event planning committee. f Join Circle of Red or Woman of Impact. f Start a Heart Walk team at your workplace or in your community. f Offer employees a Hands-Only CPR learning opportunity. f Host a fundraiser on National Wear Red Day. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES f Join Heart Powered and advocate for policies that support longer, healthier lives.
