Contributed Photo | Newmark PLAINVILLE Americold Realty Trust is marketing for sale its vacant, 329,199-square-foot automated cold-storage facility at 24 Northwest Drive in Plainville. The property was developed to store and distribute frozen products for the Northeast grocery brands of Ahold Delhaize USA, including Stop & Shop and Hannaford. Americold listed the facility after ending its lease agreement with Ahold Delhaize subsidiary ADUSA Distribution. CBRE is marketing the property individually or with a similar Ameri- cold facility in Pennsylvania. No asking price was disclosed. AVON A 25.5-acre development site along Route 44 at the Canton- Avon town line has been listed for $6.29 million. The property includes three adjoining parcels at 2 and 3 Albany Turnpike in Canton and 29 West Avon Road in Avon. Limited liability compa- nies controlled by Peter, Andrew and James Rose own the parcels. Peter Rose is president of East Gran- by-based Talcott View Development. Amodio & Co. Real Estate is marketing the site for poten- tial commercial, residential or mixed-use development. WALLINGFORD Avon-based Honeycomb Real Estate Partners paid $4.2 million for a shuttered Wallingford nursing home it plans to convert into 66 affordable apartments. The 62,160-square-foot former Quin- nipiac Valley Center sits on 11.5 acres at 55 Kondracki Lane. The 180-bed facility closed in 2022. Honeycomb is partnering with Montagno Construction, which is investing in the project and serving as general contractor. The approx- imately $14 million conversion is expected to take 11 to 12 months. The apartments will be reserved for households earning no more than 60% of the area median income. BLOOMFIELD Bloomfield is seeking a developer to redevelop six properties at the center of town, with proposals due Sept. 15. The town's master plan envisions 195 to 260 apartments and town- houses, 65,000 to 75,000 square feet of retail space, two restaurants and about 825 parking spaces. The redevelopment area includes the town-owned green and five privately owned properties. Bloomfield could use state grant funding to acquire some parcels. Applicants must demonstrate immediate access to as much as $15 million in capital. MANCHESTER A 26,802-square-foot Dave & Buster's property at 100 Buckland Hills Drive in Manchester sold twice within two weeks. Namdar Realty Group and Mason Asset Management sold the property to Dave & Buster's Inc. for $7.56 million on July 30. Dave & Buster's then sold it Aug. 10 for $13.76 million to Princeton, New Jersey-based Essential Properties Realty Trust while signing a 20-year lease with extension options. The building, constructed in 2014, sits on 7.34 acres at the Shoppes at Buckland Hills. Former Guida dairy plant included in $15.5M New Britain portfolio D airy Farmers of America is seeking about $15.5 million for the former Guida dairy plant and seven other New Britain properties totaling 19.18 acres. The Newmark-listed portfolio includes the 123,403-square-foot plant at 433 Park St., two apartment buildings and several industrial prop- erties. Kansas-based Dairy Farmers of America closed the plant this summer, eliminating 205 jobs. Newmark Executive Managing Director Matt Armstrong said prospec- tive buyers have already toured the properties and submitted offers. The sites are available in groups, with the former plant primarily marketed to food and beverage manufacturers.
