As division chief, Leslie oversees roughly 100 physicians and 30 advanced practice providers caring for more than 400 hospitalized patients daily. He helped launch UMass Memorial's Hospital at Home program and co-founded its first Hospital Medicine Procedure Service, expanding access to medically necessary procedures. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Leslie served as associate medical director of the UMass Memorial DCU Center Field Hospital. He led physician staffing and helped develop clinical protocols as the facility cared for nearly 1,000 patients in 2020 and 2021. Leslie mentors students interested in medical careers at his alma mater, Xaverian Brothers High School, providing one-on-one guidance. Do you prefer working from home or the office? My office at the hospital. With three young kids and a puppy at home, the hospital is often slightly less chaotic! Who helped you the most in your professional journey? My wife, parents, and brother. I am extremely blessed to have such a supportive family. Where did you go on the best vacation you ever took? Maui What one thing is most important to you to accomplish in the next 50 years? Buy a vacation house on a New Hampshire lake for my family and future generations. 4 0 U N D E R F O R T Y Andrew Madigan, 37 Principal & CFO, F.W. Madigan Company, Inc., in Worcester Residence: Worcester Colleges: University of Virginia; Georgetown University Andrew Madigan is helping lead his family's 89-year-old construction company into its fourth generation while taking on the largest projects in its history. Since Madigan joined F.W. Madigan Co. full time in 2016, annual revenue has grown organically from about $25 million to $45 million. More than 90% of its projects come from repeat clients and architects, or their referrals. Madigan became an owner and CFO in 2025. He has helped lead the $50-million Residences on Lincoln Square project, an adaptive reuse of the former Worcester Boys Club, and guided the company's transition to cloud-based accounting software. Madigan serves on the Reliant Foundation board and its executive, finance, and granting committees. He serves on the Mechanics Hall board and property committee and Worcester Polytechnic Institute's Civil Engineering Industry Advisory Board. Do you prefer working from home or the office? The office, or better yet, the jobsite. You can't build a building from home. Why do you choose to live in Central Mass.? I grew up here, and within an hour you can be in a major city, woods, beach, or mountains. Who helped you the most in your professional journey? My dad, Fran, and Uncle Jim have helped me grow as a leader. Where did you go on the best vacation you ever took? South America. I visited Brazil, Colombia, and Chile in business school.
