C O M /G R E E N S F O R G O O D N ew Jersey-based logistics company Farren International has signed a long-term lease for 275,000 square feet at 75 Aircraft Road in Southington, bringing the former Pratt & Whitney campus to full occupancy. Farren, which provides transpor- tation, rigging, crane, warehousing and other logistics services for heavy and specialized equipment, initially sought about 100,000 square feet but expanded its requirement during the site-selection process. The five-building, 650,000-square- foot campus is owned by IRG Realty Advisors LLC, which invested millions of dollars renovating the property for industrial uses after Pratt & Whitney closed operations there more than 25 years ago. Farren took over space formerly occupied by logistics company 3PL Worldwide. NEW BRITAIN The longtime New Britain home of Avery's Soda has sold for $485,000 after the beverage company relo- cated its operations. The buyers plan to use the barn for storage and continue renting the residential property. Former Avery's owner Rob Metz sold the real estate after previously selling the soda business, which now operates from a new facility at One Hartford Square in New Britain. SHELTON Waterford Hotel Group has sold the 161-room Courtyard by Marriott at 780 Bridgeport Ave. in Shelton for $19.2 million to Westport-based hospitality investment firm V2 Capital. Waterford purchased the seven- story hotel for $12.1 million in 2019 and completed a $4.1 million renovation in 2023 that upgraded guest rooms, common areas and building systems. The 3.24-acre property includes 23 suites with full kitchens and 6,300 square feet of meeting and event space. V2 Capital said it targets hotel investments valued between $15 million and $50 million. BRISTOL Two downtown Bristol commercial buildings with approvals to add 16 apartments have been listed for sale for a combined $3.4 million. Michael and Lisa Fabiano own the adjacent properties at 4 Riverside Ave. and 10 North Main St., which total about 21,000 square feet and can be purchased together or separately. The Fabianos bought the properties for a combined $3.49 million in 2016. Recently approved plans call for eight second-floor apartments in each building. M&T Bank and Oak Hill School occupy the buildings' respec- tive first-floor commercial spaces. GLASTONBURY A proposed 157-unit housing development at Glastonbury's historic Gutt Farm property has received a favorable recommenda- tion from the town's Planning and Zoning Commission. J-RAC Development LLC, controlled by Devin Tuohey and Ryan Urgo, is proposing 96 units in 48 duplex build- ings and 61 townhomes on roughly 39 acres spanning 155 Addison Road, 25 and 45 Mill St., and Lot W-4 Mill St. The project would include 32 affordable units. J-RAC also plans to preserve about 3 acres along Addison Road, including a historic home and red barn. The proposal still requires Town Council approval.
