The more than $23 million project will nearly triple the company's current footprint and initially create 40 to 50 jobs, with the potential for another 50 as operations expand. Founded in Danbury in 1988, the family-owned company employs about 125 people and manufactures electronic components for industries including medical devices, defense, energy and telecommunications. Bridgeport Residents have begun moving into The August, the first completed residential development at Bridge- port's Steelpointe Harbor waterfront redevelopment. Developed by Flaherty & Collins Properties, the 420-unit apartment community at 55 E. Main St. includes 160 workforce housing units for households earning 80% to 100% of the area median income. Leasing is underway, with 71 apartments leased and 29 occupied. The project is the first residential Imperial Electronic Assembly's Brookfield headquarters at 1000 Federal Road. East Hartford Boston-based real estate invest- ment firm Seyon Group has acquired a 13-property industrial portfolio in East Hartford for $36.05 million, adding more than 419,000 square feet to its growing Northeast holdings. The July 23 deal includes 11 manu- facturing, office and storage build- ings along Prestige Park Road and Prestige Park Circle, plus two vacant industrial parcels totaling 9.56 acres. The acquisition is one of three purchases tied to Seyon's newly launched investment fund. The deal was financed in part with a $29 million mortgage from Northwest Bank. Bristol The Bristol Planning Commis- sion has approved plans to create 16 apartments in two downtown commercial buildings owned by Michael and Lisa Fabiano of Redding. The project will convert vacant second-floor space at 4 Riverside Ave. and 10 North Main St. into eight apartments each, while existing commercial tenants remain on the ground floors. The Fabianos purchased the properties in 2016 for a combined $3.49 million. Farmington A Bristol-based developer is seeking approval to add 46 single- family home lots to the Farmington West Estates subdivision off Snow- berry Lane in Farmington. Farmington West Estates Ltd. Partnership filed the application July 15 for a 12.9-acre expansion that would extend the neighborhood with four new roads. The proposed phase follows the Planning and Zoning Commission's approval of a 10-lot addition last year. Farmington West Estates has been developed in phases since the late 2000s and was originally planned to include 158 homes upon completion. West Hartford Massachusetts-based Levy Legacy Group and Hajjar Management have partnered to acquire a Stop & Shop-anchored shopping center in West Hartford for $7.42 million. The 15.9-acre property at 176 Newington Road includes five retail buildings totaling 73,566 square feet, along with a bank branch and light industrial building.
