22 HARTFORDBUSINESS.COM | JULY 13, 2026 Movers & Shakers Lauren Komrosky has been named president and CEO of Connecticut Public, the Hartford-based public media orga- nization that oper- ates Connecticut Public Television and Connecticut Public Radio. She succeeds Mark G. Contreras, who is retiring after leading the orga- nization since 2019. Komrosky, who joined Connecticut Public in 2015, most recently served as chief digital officer, overseeing digital, member- ship and marketing operations. She holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Villanova University. Jatin Atre has been appointed CEO of Insu- rity, a Hartford-based software company that provides cloud- based technology to more than 500 property-and-casualty insurers and managing general agents. Atre succeeds Jeff Clarke, who will continue as executive chairman. Atre, who joined Insurity in 2020 and previ- ously served as president, will retain that role. He has led the company's AI strategy, including a $50 million investment this year in AI research and development, machine learning and customer support. Jon Scavone has joined Titan Energy, a Rocky Hill-based energy consulting and procurement firm, as director of sustainability services. Scavone brings more than 15 years of experience in energy efficiency, electrification and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. He previously founded J.J. Energy Solutions, an energy efficiency and EV charging consulting firm. He also held leadership roles at Resource Lighting & Energy, Signify, Digital Lumens and Earthlight Technologies. Jillair Kubish has been confirmed as president and CEO of Colt, the West Hartford firearms manufac- turer, after serving as interim CEO since August 2025. Kubish has worked at Colt for 10 years, most recently as vice president of military and law enforcement. Before joining the company, she was a field executive with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and operated a fire- arms industry consulting firm. She earned a bachelor's degree from Temple University and serves on the board of the World Affairs Council of Connecticut. Elin Swanson Katz has joined Orange-based energy utility Avan- grid Inc. as vice president of energy policy. Katz most recently founded Blue Swan Energy Strategies LLC, where she advised utilities and policymakers on regulatory strategy and energy affordability. She previously served as Connecticut's consumer counsel and later led the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's Office of Public Participation. A lawyer, Katz also served as a consumer protection expert at the U.S. Department of Energy and has practiced law in Washington, D.C., Boston and Hartford. Daniel Steiner has joined Goldberg Segalla, a national law firm, as an attorney in its workers' compen- sation practice in Hartford. Steiner represents insurance carriers, employers and third-party administrators in workers' compen- sation matters. He previously handled business and consumer disputes, including litigation, employment matters, contracts and business formation. He earned a bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State University and a law degree from Western New England University School of Law. Liberty Bank, a Middletown-based mutual bank, has promoted four employees to senior vice president. Fanita Borges, resi- dential sales manager, joined the bank in 2021 as a mortgage loan officer after holding roles at Webster Bank, Sunrise Financial Group, Sovereign Bank and UPS Capital. Eileen Engel, loan fulfillment manager, has worked at Liberty Bank for 38 years in various roles. Francis Guerrera, procurement officer, joined Liberty Bank in 2021 after more than a decade at The Hart- ford. Kelly Speranza, secondary market and loan servicing manager, joined Liberty Bank in 1993 and has served in several positions.
