6 HARTFORDBUSINESS.COM | JUNE 29, 2026 Q: You recently became president of RRD's Manchester facility. Tell us about your journey to this role. A: My career started nearly 39 years ago at another RRD facility in Danbury, Connecticut, where I answered phones. From there, I moved into sales support, customer service, and eventually customer service leadership roles. In 2012, I transitioned to Manchester as customer service manager. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to learn every aspect of the business f rom client relationships and operations to production and fulfillment. Earlier this year, I was honored to step into the role of president for the Manchester facility. This also makes me the first female president of the Manchester plant. Q: What has kept you in the manufacturing and print industry for nearly four decades? A: It's an industry that's constantly evolving. Many people still think of print as static production, but today's environment is highly technical, data-driven and personalized. Every day brings a new challenge, whether it's helping a healthcare client manage sensitive communications, supporting hospitality brands or developing customized fulfillment programs. I've always enjoyed the problem-solving aspect of the business and the relationships we build with clients over time. Q: How has RRD's Manchester facility evolved in recent years? A: The biggest shift has been the growth of personalized communications and fulfillment services. Today, RRD does far more than traditional printing. Our team supports highly customized variable-data printing, direct mail, warehousing, kitting and fulfillment programs for clients across industries including hospitality, healthcare and life sciences. We've also continued investing in digital technologies and workflows that allow us to produce highly targeted communications quickly and efficiently that increase engagement. Q: Why is Manchester strategically important for RRD and its clients? A: Our location allows us to support organizations throughout the Northeast, including the Hartford, Boston and New York markets. It's nice to have a regional partner that can provide local service while still leveraging the broader capabilities of a national organization like RRD. In regulated industries especially, clients want confidence that their communications, data and fulfillment programs are being managed securely and accurately. Many clients in this region have enjoyed RRD's services for over a decade. Q: What differentiates the Manchester facility in a competitive market? A: We pride ourselves on being hands-on and solutions-oriented. Our team works closely with clients to solve operational challenges, improve efficiencies and customize programs around their needs. Because we serve industries with complex compliance and security requirements, our employees have deep expertise in areas like data handling, quality control and regulated manufacturing processes. That level of partnership and specialization continues to set us apart. Q: As a woman leading a manufacturing operation, what does this milestone mean to you? A: I'm proud of the path that brought me here. Manufacturing has created opportunities for so many people willing to learn and grow within the industry. I've been fortunate to work alongside mentors and teams who supported my development over the years. I hope my journey shows that there are meaningful long- term careers in manufacturing and operations, and that leadership opportunities are achievable through experience, adaptability and hard work. Q : What excites you most about the future of the Manchester facility? A: We're continuing to evolve alongside our clients' needs. There's growing demand for more personalized communications, integrated fulfillment solutions and faster turnaround times. Our team is ready to support that growth while continuing to deliver the service and expertise our clients rely on. I'm excited about where we're headed and the role this facility can continue to play in the region's business community.
