"Clinton Saving Bank helps us serve our community in a variety of ways," Leonard added, "such as running toy, sock, and coat drives, providing meals and more. "CSB employees also volunteer with us regularly and have performed just about every volunteer task we have to offer – from serving meals in our community café and stocking our food pantry to joining us each year to distribute the fixings for anksgiving dinner," Leonard said. "We are deeply appreciative of all they do for our community!" e Item Appeal and UMass Memorial Health Care Al- liance-Clinton Hospital are among several other nonprofit organizations that Clinton Savings Bank supports. e Item Appeal helps neighbors in need in Clinton and the surrounding communities with necessities of life, especially around food insecurity issues. Since it is exclusively a volunteer organization, Jan Gottes- man, its president, noted its partnership with Clinton Savings Bank has been invaluable. e Bank has provided a volunteer to serve as the Item Ap- peal's treasurer for decades, allowing the nonprofit to manage its funds every year without staff or additional costs. e treasurer takes care of donations and distributions and ensures state filings are done correctly. "We help hundreds of local families annually, collecting and distributing upwards of $70,000 a year," said Gottesman. "None of this would be possible without the partnership with Clinton Savings Bank." Charles Cavagnaro, president, UMass Memorial Health Health-Alliance-Clinton Hospital, echoed that appreciation.
