12 Clinton Savings Bank R obert Franchi knows a little something about longevity in business. Franchi's grandfather and his brothers start- ed Franchi Brothers Autobody 90 years ago and now his two sons are the fourth generation at its helm. So, he can recognize what it takes to not only survive but also flourish as Clinton Savings Bank has done for 175 years. "It's about being accountable and the relationships you build over time," Franchi said. "Once you find a relationship like that, you don't want to give it up." As one of Clinton Savings Bank's commercial loan customers, Franchi anticipates that connection will continue well into the future. Clinton Savings Bank partnered with the auto- body shop to put up a new 32,000 square foot build- ing at its Shrewsbury Street location in Worcester. "Clinton Savings Bank went out of their way for me, and I'm not really used to that," Franchi said. "Whether it was going aer grant funds or tell- ing me what's available—like SBA loans—our entire process with them was seamless." Franchi had high praise for Jeannie Connolly, SVP, senior commercial lending officer, who he followed when she joined Clinton Savings Bank. And he has been impressed not only with a long-term collabo- ration with Connolly, but more recently, with the Bank itself. "I remember years ago that feeling of a small-town bank where everyone knows your name," Franchi said. "at's what I have experienced with Clinton Savings Bank. You feel part of something. You have a name and are not just a number to them." Franchi said he knows of a lot of commercial enterprises that use Clinton Savings Bank's services and he fully understands why. So does Michael Ermani of Premier Investment Properties, LLC., who is a commercial loan customer at Clinton Savings Bank. e Bank financed a project for the developer on 631 Franklin Street in Worcester. e 28-unit residen- tial apartment complex finished on budget and not only on time, but ahead of schedule. "Clinton Savings Bank was able to make it easy for us," Ermani said. "e project would not have been possible without their belief in us and their help." Noting that the city of Worcester struggles to fulfill a need for more housing, Er- mani said he is pleased by the opportunity Clinton Savings Bank afforded his business to work towards a solution. "We're happy to be part of the city's journey and Clinton Savings Bank delivered exactly what was promised—right on target," Ermani said. He said Clinton Savings Bank has qualities that make it special, particularly as a local resource that takes the time to understand its customer's wishes. "You can walk in and get that one-to-one service, so the bank understands what you need and is able to then give you the opportunity to execute the project," Ermani said. Relationships at the heart of commercial lending Clinton Savings Bank financed a property on 631 Franklin Street in Worcester, where Premier Investment Properties LLC created a 28-unit residential apartment complex. Franchi Brothers Autobody, founded in 1936, added an addition with the help of Clinton Savings Bank. "I remember years ago that feeling of a small-town bank where everyone knows your name. That's what I have experienced with Clinton Savings Bank. You feel part of something. You have a name and are not just a number to them." — Robert Franchi, Franchi Brothers Autobody
