Polar plans to move into the Greenwood
Street space in September, according to real
estate data firm CoStar.
e 42,442-square-foot building was
constructed in 1958 and is owned by trusts
in the names of Alan Lowe of Mashpee and
Stephen and Harriet Lowe of Worcester.
Hudson defense contractor
acquires Navy-focused firm
from North Carolina
Hudson-based defense firm e Entwistle
Co. has acquired e Hales Group, a collec-
tion of North Carolina businesses supporting
U.S. Navy submarines and aircra carriers.
e acquisition positions Entwistle to
pursue larger defense programs and support
growth through expanded capabilities, Presi-
dent Wade Knudson said.
e Hales Group has worked to support
U.S. Navy submarines and aircra carriers
through its work with Newport News Ship-
building. e firm has more than 150,000
square feet of fabrication space on a 68-acre
site in North Carolina.
Founded in 1981 by Ray and Trudy Hales,
e Hales Group will operate as a standalone
subsidiary of Entwistle.
