Hartford Hospital details new $950M patient
tower as part of $1B campus overhaul
H
artford Hospital has unveiled plans for a $950
million, 14-story patient tower as part of a broader,
more than $1 billion effort to modernize its Hart-
ford campus and expand care capacity.
The tower will include about 250 private patient rooms
and three floors of procedure space, with updated
technology and design intended to support higher-acuity
care. Plans also call for a new patient arrival center
to serve as the hospital's main entrance, along with a
redesigned campus featuring more natural light and a
healing garden.
The project aims to ease emergency department over-
crowding and expand cancer and infusion services, the
hospital said. The tower is expected to open in 2031.
