Induction to college is the highest honor the institute bestows upon a member. SMRT Architects & Engineers in Portland named Derek Veilleux as chair of its board of directors. Veilleux spent 25 years with the firm before stepping into board governance. Thomas College in Waterville added Jeff Hubert to its board of trustees. Hubert is a 1987 graduate of the col- lege and a now-retired 35-year public accountant with Wipfli LLP. Portside Real Estate Group in Falmouth awarded its "2025 Portside Partner Award," reserved for its top six agents, to Taylor McFarlane, Jim McFarlane, John Fitzsimons, Erin Oldham, Brent Sawyer and Lisa Guerette as part of its annual Portside Summit.
