One legacy built on giving back. Frank and Jeanne Vaccaro, alongside their sons Frankie and Matthew, have created lasting impact through Masis Staffing Solutions, Peak Scouts, and the Worcester Bravehearts. Together, their ventures reflect decades of reliability, adaptability, and strategic growth. Originally founded in 2000 and headquartered in Worcester, Masis Staffing Solutions places employees across the United States. e company has a physical presence in 26 states and operates 80 sites nationwide, including on-site locations at client facilities. In the past year, Masis expanded into Wisconsin, Texas, Arizona, and Indiana. Growth at Masis extends beyond geography. e staffing company offers three service divisions: tem- porary/contract, professional hires, and Peak Scouts, an independent division launched in 2025 focused on sports specific executive and professional placements. "We provide a very big service in the fact that if you put somebody to work, you're helping them," Frank Vaccaro said. "We like the fact that people have the opportunity to better themselves, maybe buy a car or a house, whatever it might be that gets them to that next level is important, whether it's temporary or professional placement. We feel we make a difference in lives." Each week, Masis averages 500 new applicants, plac- es two professional candidates, and has approximately 6,000 temporary associates working. Over the decades, the Vaccaro family has adapted to shis in the workforce, most recently the rapid integration of AI. "We've shied our processes internally and exter- nally to adapt to that," said Frankie Vaccaro, Masis president and chief operating officer. "We've adopted the use of AI as part of daily tasks and process for the recruiters and the salespeople. It's giving our staff op- portunities to get people to work quicker, which helps our clients fill their needs more efficiently and allow us to grow further." In 2024, the family expanded into sports by pur- chasing the Worcester Bravehearts, a summer colle- giate baseball team. Matthew Vaccaro serves as president, blending the experience of a family friendly baseball outing with community outreach. e Bravehearts have woven service into their game day culture: Autism Awareness Night partnering with Worcester nonprofit Open Sky Community Services; Parkinson's Awareness Night in honor of a diagnosed staff member; 9,000 hamburgers donated to St. John's Food Pantry; and free food truck lunches distributed to Recreation Worcester. e team serves as a stepping stone for college ath- letes pursuing careers in baseball. "Having a local player attracts fans, which is great, but it's also an opportunity for them to shine under the bright lights. We have anywhere from 1,500 to 3,000 people at a game, depending on the night, and the team gives them the potential to make it beyond their college team and hopefully, one day, professionally," Matthew said. At the heart of the Vaccaro family philosophy is a commitment to giving without expectation, a value modeled by Frank and Jeanne. Jeanne supports organizations close to her heart, including Why Me & Sherry's House and the Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance's Walk for the Homeless, where the entire Masis Staffing Solutions team participates. "If you give without expecting anything in return, you've done a good thing. So, we strive to try and do the right thing," Frank said. Today, second generation leadership at Masis Staff- ing Solutions, alongside Peak Scouts and Worcester Bravehearts, reflects the family's shared commitment to growth, service, and working side by side. "Don't know where we'd be without our parents," Frankie said. "I was taught early that it's not really ever about you, and once you think about other people, you find out that things just take shape. Good things happen to you because of that, and that is the culture we've set." e Vaccaro family blends business with community W PHOTO | COURTESY OF MASIS STAFFING SOLUTIONS Family Business Leaders of the Year Frank, Jeanne, Matthew & Frankie Vaccaro Owners (Frank & Jeanne) & presidents (Matthew & Frankie) Companies: Masis Staffing Solutions, Peak Scouts, Worcester Bravehearts Company locations: 80 Founded: Masis Staffing Solutions: 2000; Peak Scouts: 2025; Worcester Bravehearts: 2013 Masis employees: 305 (internal), 6,500 (temps)
