Hayden as partners. Merola practices corporate law, including mergers and acquisi- tions and securities, and is based in the firm's Hartford office. He advises companies on business forma- tion, financings and strategic transactions. Hayden focuses on commercial real estate and municipal matters and is based in the firm's New Haven office. Her work includes advising lenders, developers and public-sector clients on complex real estate transactions. Wilmington Trust, an affiliate of M&T Bank Corp., has hired Gina Wilson as a wealth advisor in its Bridgeport office. Wilson joined the firm at the end of 2025. She was previously a vice president at Glenmede Trust Co. in New York City. Earlier in her career, she worked on the ultra-high-net-worth team at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Mohegan, the gaming, hospitality and entertainment company and owner of Mohegan Sun, has promoted Jennifer Dyer to director of IT portfolio management and delivery. Based in Uncasville, Dyer will oversee strategic IT project port- folios and report to John Ware, vice president of global IT services and support. The Connecticut Community Nonprofit Alliance, a statewide trade association representing communi- ty-based nonprofit health and human services providers, has elected Heather Gates as chair of its board of directors. Gates is president and CEO of Community Health Resources and succeeds Barry Simon, president and CEO of Oak Hill. The alliance also elected Fernando Muniz, president and CEO of Commu- nity Solutions Inc., as vice chair; Beth Fisher, CEO of Kuhn Employment Opportunities, as treasurer; and George Reid-Perry, COO of Lumibility, as secretary. In addition, Grace Cavallo of Community Mental Health Affiliates, Tammy Freeberg of The Village for Families and Children, Beth Hines of Community Partners in Action and Jason Jakubowski of CT Foodshare were elected to three-year terms on the board. The Manchester Community College Foundation has named Bethany Silver president of its board. Silver is the first graduate of Manchester Community College to serve in the role. Silver has more than 20 years of experience in education and research. She began her career as a psychology instructor at Manchester Community College in 1994. Kerry Garofano has been named director of development, marketing and outreach at the Connecticut Humane Society, effective Jan. 1. She succeeds Barbara Naugle, who retired after 13 years in the role. Garofano has been with the orga- nization since 2015, most recently leading annual giving, grants and planned giving, along with marketing and outreach efforts. Kurt Barwis, president and CEO of Bristol Health, has been named a 2026 recipient of the Baldrige Foun- dation's Award for Leadership Excel- lence in the health care category. The award recognizes leaders whose work reflects the principles of the Baldrige Framework and contributions to organizational perfor- mance excellence and community impact. Ivelisse A. Cruz and Kristen Eshleman have been appointed to the board of directors of Trinity Health Of New England, parent company of several Connecticut hospitals including St. Francis in Hartford. Cruz is an office manager and legal assistant at DeFronzo & Petroskey PC and president of the Exchange Club of Waterbury. Eshleman is vice president of library and information technology services at Trinity College, where she serves on the president's executive leadership team. Kristianna L. Tyler has been elected to the partnership at Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP, effective Jan. 1. Based in the firm's Guilford office, Tyler focuses on defending hospitals, physicians and other health care providers in medical malpractice and personal injury matters.
