Groton fuel cell developer clears key test for NASA moon missions Groton-based fuel cell developer Nimbus Power Systems said it has completed shock and vibration testing that moves its technology closer to use on NASA lunar missions. The company said its fuel cells passed tests simulating launch condi- tions for NASA's Artemis program. Nimbus has licensed the technology to Blue Origin for use in the company's Blue Moon Lunar Lander, which NASA plans to use to transport astronauts from lunar orbit to the moon's surface. Nimbus said its fuel cell systems can produce electricity, heat and potable water, and use a water-man- agement approach designed to work reliably in space. Mohegan says Bain Capital seized control of South Korea casino resort The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority disclosed in its fiscal 2025 annual report that Bain Capital seized control last year of Mohegan INSPIRE, its $1.6 billion casino and entertain- ment resort near Seoul's Incheon International Airport. The takeover occurred in February 2025 after Bain affiliates, the project's principal lenders, took control of the resort's ownership following Mohegan's default on a $275 million loan. Mohegan said it is no longer an equity holder but remains liable for certain financial guarantees tied to the project. Fine Fettle expands medical marijuana services at CT dispensaries Fine Fettle this month has added medical marijuana services at all nine of its Connecticut cannabis dispensaries, converting them into hybrid facilities serving both registered patients and adult-use customers. The changes follow state regulatory updates allowing recre- ational dispensaries to become hybrids. The expansion comes as Connecticut's total cannabis sales fell 1.2% to $290 million in 2025, according to state data, with medical marijuana sales dropping 22.6% to $72.5 million while adult-use sales rose 8.8% to $217.5 million. Fine Fettle said the conversion will improve access for medical patients in regions with limited options. Tong reaches $416K settlement with cannabis operators over antitrust violations Attorney General William Tong announced a $416,000 settlement with three cannabis businesses operating under the Crisp Cannabis brand — and the company seeking to acquire them — over alleged antitrust and cannabis merger law violations. Tong said the operators in Bridgeport, East Hartford and Cromwell, along with acquiring entity Mohave CT LLC, engaged in "gun jumping" by transferring opera- tional control and coordinating branding, staffing and other business decisions before filing required notices with state regulators. The respondents agreed to pay the civil penalty and implement an antitrust compliance program, but did not admit wrongdoing under the settlement. Lost in New Haven museum files expansion plan The Lost in New Haven museum has filed plans to expand at its Hamilton Street location, including construction of a new two-story building with a roof deck. The museum, currently at 80 Hamilton St., is seeking to acquire a vacant indus- trial building at 60 Hamilton St., where it plans to build out additional exhibit and office space.
