SKILLS Inc., a social services organiza- tion in St. Albans, elected Mary Nadeau as chair of its board of direc- tors. Nadeau, who recently retired as principal of Nokomis Regional High School following a 37-year career in public education as both a teacher and administrator, has served on the board since 2020. Northern Light Surgical Weight Loss in Bangor said it earned the distinc- tion of "Surgical Quality Partner" from the American College of Surgeon's Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program for the years 2025-28. Educate Maine announced that Tree Street Youth, a nonprofit in Lewiston serving more than 1,000 young peo- ple from pre-K through high school annually, received the "Weston L. Bonney Education Leadership Award" for 2025. Andwell Health Partners in Lewiston named Brian Scharold as its "Robert D. Turcotte Memorial Award" win- ner during its Chair's Reception. e award honors Scharold's commit- ment to supporting individuals and families through grief.
