People think that wedding planning is a
luxury that only comes with a certain bud-
get, and that's not the case. The number
one goal for planners is to help any couple
who feels overwhelmed or confused in their
planning process actually enjoy their day.
You plan weddings all over New England.
What does Central Massachusetts have
to offer couples?
Accessibility is a major part of the appeal.
You can have the ambience and resources
of a city, but not deal with the heavy traf-
fic or stressors of larger cities. The region is
100 percent accessible in terms of budget,
transportation, and variety of venues.
Social media generates a lot of maga-
zine-worthy wedding inspiration. How do
you manage wedding day expectations?
It is about learning exactly what a couple's
goals are and nailing down exactly what at-
tracted them to the social images that in-
spired them. Sometimes it's not something
specific; it's the aesthetic. We are transpar-
ent about their budget. If it is not realistic
for the couple, we find alternatives.
It's about seeing how we can take some-
thing that inspires a couple and make it a
representation that is all their own. How
can we personalize it? Because at the end of
the day, our job as planners is to make sure
that the day is authentic and true to them,
individually, and together. n
