28 We Do! • Winter 2025 • www.wedoweddingsma.com RE AL WEDDINGS: FE AT URED WEDDING DIADORA + DAN May 24, 2025 Worcester Art Museum and Worcester Cocktail Garden HOW WE MET We met at The Pint in Worcester af- ter seeing each other around the city a few times. We both caught each other's eye while working. Dan was playing with his band, the Blue Light Bandits, at Vincent's, and Diadora worked at Boca- do Tapas and Wine Bar. That night, we introduced ourselves to each other and spent the rest of the night talking. THE PROPOSAL On our first date, we went hiking at Purgatory Chasm. Dan says he had a good feeling that day and knew he'd pro- pose there. We reached a rock known as Lovers Leap, and that's where Dan dropped to one knee and proposed. It was early in the morning but another couple happened to pass by at the right time and took our photo. THE WEDDING DAY We wanted to fuse two styles we love: classic Italian (we both have some Ital- ian heritage) and city chic. The Worces- ter Art Museum offered an ideal ceremo- ny venue in its main space, Renaissance Hall. The European architecture fea- tures grand pillars and a balcony where we could overlook our guests arriving on the court below. We each descended the grand staircase with our parents at the same time, meeting at the bottom to exchange vows before our pastor and beloved friends and family. Our Chris- tian faith was central to our ceremony, with our pastor preaching and reading scriptures that reflected the meaning of joining our lives as a couple. After we exchanged vows, it was time to party. We headed to the Worces- ter Cocktail Garden and Kitchen for a semi-formal celebration with good food served right away, buffet style, and mu- sic by the groom and friends before a DJ friend of Dan's took over for the night. The venue is decked out in tropical flo- rals and greenery, giving us the perfect fresh vibe for a lively evening. SPECIAL TOUCHES As a professional musician, it was important to Dan to have his talented friends come on stage and play together, jam band style. Dan also wrote, record- ed, and produced a surprise song for Di- adora. After they cut the cake, it played as a music video on the video wall pro- vided by the venue. This was a beautiful moment. MOMENT WE'LL ALWAYS TREASURE Dancing the night away together and getting to see every person we love in the same room, celebrating our com- mitment and love for one another. We have the absolute best people in our lives who made this night all the more incredible. n UNIQUE MELODY EVENTS AND DESIGN Charlton @uniquemelodyevents uniquemelodyevents.com Yvonne, our wedding planner, not only ensured our timeline ran smoothly, but she also took care of us, keeping our goals, presence, and happiness in mind.
