Invivyd gets FDA approval to begin late-stage COVID-19 drug trials Invivyd Inc., a New Haven-based biotechnology firm developing anti- body-based treatments, said it has received U.S. Food and Drug Admin- istration approval to begin large-scale testing of a new drug designed to prevent COVID-19 infections. The company said the FDA cleared its application to launch two late-stage clinical trials for its experimental therapy, VYD2311 — one measuring effectiveness in preventing infec- tion and another testing safety and immune response compared with traditional vaccines. Contributed Photo BIZ BRIE FS The University of New Haven announced that Saudi Arabia's Council of Ministers has approved its plan to open a branch campus in Riyadh, making it the first university worldwide authorized to establish an international campus in the Kingdom. Set to open in fall 2026, the new campus will support Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, which seeks to diversify the nation's economy and expand private- sector involvement in higher education. The Riyadh campus will include colleges of business, engineering, and arts and applied sciences, offering under- graduate and graduate degrees, exec- utive education and micro-credentials.
