Cabral succeeds Jerry Fan, who is shifting into a broader role as exec- utive vice president and general manager of the firm's Americas North Region. Cabral joined Burns & McDonnell in 2006 as a project manager on transmission projects for utilities in the Northeast. He later led the firm's transmission and distribution group, and in 2023 became manager of the regional construction group. Last year, he was promoted to vice president of Northeast operations. Ellafi Federal Credit Union has promoted Kristen Jensen to vice president of community and business relationships. She will lead community outreach, manage business partner- ships and strengthen member engagement. Jensen, who has more than a decade of experience in the financial industry, previously served as assistant vice president of loan operations. She is also active in Middletown nonprofits and civic organizations. WHZ Strategic Wealth Advisors has added two financial profes- sionals to its advisory team. Logan Lum joins as associate vice president and lead wealth advisor, where he will help clients with financial planning, investments and long-term strat- egies. He previously worked as a finan- cial planner and investment advisor at Barnum Financial Group and started his career at Ernst & Young. Aleesha Graham was named director and associate wealth advisor, focusing on financial plan- ning and trading strategies for indi- viduals and families. She previously worked with investment advisory firms and broker-dealers. Marketing pro Sam Barrett has been named director of business development and marketing at Connecticut advertising and communications firm CashmanKatz. Barrett joins the Glastonbury-based agency after serving as head of business development and marketing at Rebellion Group, where he also acted as executive producer of the firm's state-focused event series "Shaping CT's Future" and "CT Season Pass." In his new role, Barrett will oversee CashmanKatz's marketing strategy and lead efforts to expand its client base. Marriott Hartford Downtown has appointed Al M. Soto as its executive chef. Soto will oversee food and beverage operations at the hotel, including its restaurant and bar, Starbucks café, room service and banquet catering. Soto previously held leadership roles at Kraft Sports + Entertainment, Tufts University and Harvard Business School's Restaurant Associates program. Dr. Cassandra Okechukwu has joined the Middletown-based Weitzman Institute as director of research, where she will lead the institute's research programs and help connect evidence- based findings with community health practices. She is an adjunct associate professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and previously worked at MITRE Corp., developing tools for health centers. The Weitzman Institute, part of Community Health Center Inc., is a research and innovation center focused on primary care and health equity. Rocky Hill-based design-build firm ASG Power has hired Anthony Gallo as marketing coordinator. Gallo will plan and execute marketing campaigns, oversee creative materials, track perfor- mance and support strategies to boost client engagement. The Farm- ington resident earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Hartford. He previously worked as a marketing intern at the Talcott Mountain Science Center and Academy.
