We serve individuals of all faiths, with special emphasis on Maine's most vulnerable populations — the poor, older adults, and children. We continuously analyze trends to pursue mission-aligned opportunities for existing service areas, identify target areas, and track emerging social needs, including, but not limited to: � providing behavioral and mental health services for adults and children; � sustaining strong services in substance use disorder treatment and recovery; � strengthening and growing services for Maine's aging population; � Supporting New Mainers on their path to self-sufficiency and citizenship; � Creating program models for emergency assistance services; and � Addressing hunger/food security issues. We seek to grow our donor base by culti- vating relationships with businesses and individuals, demonstrating trustworthi- ness through transparency and respon- sible stewardship of funds. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/ OPPORTUNITIES Catholic Charities Maine's (CCM) hosts the annual Put Children F irst Golf Classic each September in Southern Maine to support childcare scholarships for low-income families at our child development centers, located in Portland and Biddeford. We welcome sponsors at various monetary levels, through volunteering at the event, and enrolling teams! In Northern Maine, our Feed T he County initiative raises awareness of food insecurity. Fundraising includes radio and TV telethons and other local outreach. Money raised supports CCM's Hunger & Relief Services, which operates two food banks, grows fresh local vegetables through our Farm for ME initiative, and supplies 28+ food pantries in Northern Maine. Drop Boxes are available for businesses. As a proud United Way agency, we value businesses that encourage employee donations by matching funds. We accept vehicle donations of cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, trailers, and more – even if they 're no longer in working condition. Towing is free, and donors receive a tax credit.
