Casella has been appointed managing partner of Harris Beach Murtha's Hartford office, the law firm's largest office in Connecticut. Casella succeeds Richard A. Marone, who led the Hartford office for three years and oversaw its transition through the 2025 merger of Murtha Cullina LLP and Harris Beach PLLC. Marone will remain with the firm as a member of its trusts and estates, corporate and tax, and nonprofit practice groups. A 17-year member of the firm, Casella is part of the trusts and estates practice group, where he advises individuals, families and business owners on estate planning, probate litigation and business succession. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Estate and Business Planning Council of Hartford. Valerie Powell-Stafford, Hartford market president for Trinity Health of New England, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Connecticut Hospital Association. Powell-Stafford will serve as an at-large trustee, helping to develop strategies for hospital members and advocate on issues including patient care and hospital reimbursement. She oversees St. Francis Hospital and Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in Hartford. She joined Trinity Health in 2022 after serving as president and CEO of HCA Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., and earlier held leadership roles in other HCA hospitals. Powell-Stafford also sits on the board of the MetroHartford Alliance and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Thomaston Savings Bank has appointed Sarah Lindsay as branch manager of its Middlebury office. Lindsay, a Plainville resident, brings more than 20 years of banking experience and previously held lead- ership roles focused on client service and financial planning. She is active in community service, having volunteered with the Simsbury Rotary Club for more than a decade, including serving as president in 2020. Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut has appointed four new members to its board of directors. The new directors are: Eric Cowan of Glastonbury, assis- tant vice president at Humana's Centerwell Pharmacy; Derrick Garrett of Easton, founder of Round House Multimedia in Stamford; Mike Pellin of Glaston- bury, an attorney and health insur- ance executive at Aetna, a division of CVS Health; and Prudence Pitter of Greenwich, head of global human resources at Amazon Web Services. Goldberg Segalla has hired Dennis A. Mautner as an attorney in its civil litigation and trial practice group in Hartford. Mautner focuses on civil litigation defense, including personal injury, premises liability, negligent security and insurance coverage. He has more than five years of experience representing insurers and their clients in personal injury cases. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Connecticut. New Haven-based Trevi Thera- peutics Inc. disclosed that its chief financial officer Lisa Delfini left the company as of Aug. 22. The departure was not related to any disagreements with Trevi's operations or policies, the biophar- maceutical company said in a securities filing. Delfini joined the company in 2021. Trevi President and CEO Jennifer L. Good will serve as the interim CFO until a successor is named, the company said.
