6 40 UNDER FORTY | 2025 AWARDS HARTFORDBUSINESS.COM | AUGUST 11, 2025 Michael Auletta is senior vice president of sales, marketing and services at Bauer. He has oversight of a global sales team working with customers in more than 80 countries and a customer service team supporting over 7,000 pieces of aircraft component test equipment worldwide. What's been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career? Katie Barry is the business development and sales manager at Marion Manufacturing. She started as an operator and rose through multiple leadership roles, gaining expertise across operations, quality and production. Barry's ability to adapt, lead and grow in every position she's held highlights her deep dedication and industry expertise. Her comprehensive experience gives her a unique perspective and positions her as a strategic voice within Marion Manufacturing and the industry at large. My global sales growth strategy and strong relationship-building positioned Bauer to be selected as the U.S. Small Business Administration's 2025 National Exporter of the Year, New England Exporter of the Year and Connecticut Exporter of the Year. How are you involved in the community? As an owner of Bauer, our family is proud to support nearly a dozen organizations in Connecticut through company spon- sorships and service. I also previously served on the board of a children's school, reflecting my long-standing commitment to giving back. What do you like to do outside of work? I enjoy golfing, cooking, spending time with family and trips to Nantucket. Why do you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty? • In my first two years of leading global sales, I've driven consecutive years of record revenue growth and interna- tional business expansion. • My leadership in global sales posi- tioned Bauer to achieve the SBA's 2025 National Exporter of the Year award. • As an expatriate in Singapore, I gained invaluable global leadership experience while expanding Bauer's footprint in Asia. Fun Fact I spend more time in airports than at home! Barry has been instrumental in driving measurable growth for the company. Her efforts in expanding the customer base, strengthening client relationships and identifying new market opportunities have directly contributed to increased revenue and long-term stability. What's been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career? My biggest accomplishment is rising from a floor operator to a leadership role — developing internal systems, building lasting relationships with customers and suppliers and pro- moting Marion within the community. These efforts have supported sus- tained success and positioned Marion Manufacturing as a trusted partner and strong presence in the industry. Why do you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty? • Advanced career from floor operator to leadership, streamlining operations and strengthening relationships with customers and suppliers. • Continue to drive strategic growth through business development, market expansion and long-term client relationships. • Represent the industry on multiple boards, aligning community engage- ment with business objectives and workforce sustainability, continuously encouraging and teaching others how to bring business and community together.
