The DCU Center generates $46.2 million in annual economic impact, according to a study released in 2025, conducted by Minnesota- based CSL International. Great Wolf Lodge New England had been the sole Great Wolf Lodge location in New England until the national indoor water park resort opened a Mashantucket, Connecticut location in April. Kathleen Gagne retired from her role as executive director of Mechanics Hall in June, calling it a career after 30 years with the Worcester landmark. In April, the Sheraton Framingham Hotel & Conference Center served as host to the 12th Annual Taste of MetroWest, a yearly food festival with samples from local vendors presented by the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce. The country music venue Indian Ranch hosted The Beach Boys in August.
