Budderfly said the financing will be used to accelerate its nationwide growth. The latest financing brings Budder- fly's total capital raised to over $1 billion, the company said. Budderfly, based at 2 Trap Falls Road, in Shelton, employs an energy- as-a-service model, through which it assumes responsibility for its client's utility spending and the capital risk of installing energy-efficiency improvements — and then shares in the energy cost savings. The company upgrades and installs energy-efficient equipment — such as new HVAC systems, air quality controls, LED lighting, smart panels, sensors and solar panels — for its customers at no upfront cost. It also provides around-the-clock, AI-enabled energy monitoring and analysis, as well as ongoing maintenance and infrastructure improvements. Budderfly signs 10- to 15-year contracts with customers and earns revenues through a share of energy cost savings. Aerospace components manufacturer announces new Enfield facility Aerospace company WHI Global will open a new $12 million produc- tion facility in Enfield, and expects to hire more than 40 employees in Connecticut. WHI, which makes composite parts and assemblies for the aerospace and defense markets, currently has facilities in New Jersey, Texas, Okla- homa and Massachusetts. WHI made the announcement in partnership with Gov. Ned Lamont and AdvanceCT at the Paris Air Show. The company has also signed new contracts with Sikorsky to produce components for the UH-60 Black Hawk. WHI is a long-time supplier to Sikorsky. WHI is backed by private invest- ment fund RVE Partners. The company says the Enfield site is currently under construction and will feature clean rooms to support advanced composite manufac- turing capabilities including layup, bonding, rubber vulcanization and compression molding. "WHI is experiencing sustained growth, so we are eager to get our new Enfield facility online," said CEO Al Altieri. Bristol Health eyes $10.5M sale of nursing home to for-profit group Bristol Hospital & Health Care Group Inc. is looking to sell its Ingraham Manor skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility to a for-profit group for $10.5 million. In a certificate of need application filed with the state Office of Health Strategy, Bristol Health said it's proposing to sell Ingraham Manor — a 128-bed skilled nursing facility at 400 North Main St., in Bristol — to the for-profit companies IM OpCo LLC and IM PropCo LLC, together known as IM Buyer, for $10.5 million. According to state business records, both IM OpCo and IM PropCo have business addresses in New Jersey, and both were formed in May. The principal for IM OpCo is listed as Rachel Shakow, who also is the principal of WAT OPCO LLC, which has owned and operated the 130-bed Woodlake at Tolland skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Tolland since it was sold by Eastern Connecticut Health Network in 2021 The principal for IM PropCo is listed as Eliyahu Mirlis, CEO of New Jersey-based RegalCare Management Group, a nursing home management company. The Office of Health Strategy, which regulates healthcare providers, has determined it doesn't need to approve the deal.
