T H E 2 0 2 5 WOMEN IN BUSINESS H O N O R E E S B14 HARTFORDBUSINESS.COM | MARCH 10, 2025 What's the next big goal you want to accomplish professionally? I want HR to be a strategic partner in executive decision-making and implement policies that strengthen connections among teammates, help them succeed in our workplace, and contribute to Liberty's collective success. I also want to make a meaningful impact on our communities through volunteerism and philanthropy. What's one of the biggest professional challenges you've overcome? I've overcome working for 'leaders' who did not believe in my potential or leverage my experience. This lack of support made it difficult to personally thrive and develop. However, after joining Liberty, I quickly felt valued and recognized for my HR acumen while they continue to invest in my growth. How are you involved in the community? I serve on three nonprofit boards of direc- tors. My dedication to the community is rooted in my values, and I'm fortunate to work for an institution that shares this commitment. I'm a proud ambassador of Liberty's 'Be Community Kind' brand inside the bank and out in our communities. Natalie Weaver Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer Liberty Bank N atalie Weaver is the chief human resources officer at Liberty Bank, overseeing talent management, diversity, equity, inclusion, organizational design, talent acquisition, compensation/ benefits and the overall people strategy. With over 20 years of HR experience across multiple HR disciplines, Weaver has held key roles at institutions like Pitney Bowes, TD Bank, Travelers and Voya Financial. Her expertise enables her to lead Liberty Bank's HR function effectively, driving initiatives fostering a diverse workforce. Her commitment to organizational effec- tiveness and strategic talent management positions her as a vital asset in shaping Liberty Bank's talent strategy. What have been your biggest profes- sional accomplishments so far? My biggest accomplishments include elevating to the role of chief human resources officer at Liberty, while building a high-performing team execut- ing our HR-focused strategic initiatives. Together, we've enhanced workforce development, bolstered engagement and fostered a culture of growth and innovation that's positioned Liberty as an employer of choice. Megan, your leadership advances Connecticut Wealth Management's mission to turn life's aspirations into reality for our clients and team. You serve as a powerful example for women in business. Congratulations to you and all the other honorees! What's the next big goal you want to accomplish professionally? I am excited to continue expanding our team's reach in Florida and Illinois, where Hinckley Allen opened new offices last year. It will be a rewarding opportunity to tailor the skill set, knowl- edge and work ethic we developed to the needs and culture of these new and disparate areas of the country. What's one of the biggest professional challenges you've overcome? After law school, I practiced for decades at a small Farmington firm. Transitioning from a zone of comfort to the dynamic culture at Hinckley Allen was daunting. But, I may never have known about my latent management and business skills without the jolt, and I am now so grateful for it. How are you involved in the community? Nationally, I serve on the board of SADD Nation, while locally, I'm an active board member of the Hartford County Bar Association (the nation's oldest) and Greater Hartford Legal Aid. Last year, the organization honored me as Hartford's Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year for helping broaden vital access to the legal system. Lisa A. Her team delivers legal counsel on wage and hour issues, employment, non-com- pete and non-disclosure agreements, workplace harassment and discrim- ination, and more across the firm's geographic footprint. What have been your biggest professional accomplishments so far? I honed my skills at a small local firm before stepping onto Hinckley Allen's much larger stage. Since leading the practice group from my perch in Hartford, I've assembled an amazing team and grown our business across all markets every year, delivering the firm's skills and services to more clients. www.hinckleyallen.com CONNECTICUT | FLORIDA | ILLINOIS | MASSACHUSETTS | NEW HAMPSHIRE | NEW YORK | RHODE ISLAND © 2025 Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP.
