Stewart joins Dean as vice president for financial services and treasurer, having most recently served as vice president for finance and adminis- tration/chief financial officer and assistant treasurer at Western New England Uni- versity in Springfield. Throughout his career, Stewart has served in senior finance positions within several higher education institutions including Lasell University in Newton, Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, and Northeastern University in Boston. He earned his master's and bachelor's degrees from UMass Amherst. Norris assumed her new role as Dean's vice president for insti- tutional advancement, having most recently served as vice president of advancement at the State University of New York's Empire State University and executive director of the SUNY Empire Foundation. Before joining the SUNY system, Norris worked as vice president for advancement and public affairs for Dominican University of California and has held leadership roles at University of San Francisco, the Smithso- nian Institution in Washington, D.C., and the University of California, Berkeley. Norris graduated with two bachelor's degrees from University of Missouri-Columbia and her master's degree from Saint Mary's College of California. Bowditch & Dewey has re-hired TOM SCANNELL as an attorney at the Worcester-based law firm. Scannell began his 38-year career in law with Bowditch and has since practiced litigation, trial, arbitration, and mediation throughout both commercial and business disputes. He is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School in Boston and earned his bachelor's degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester.
