Menard has been named Menard chief services officer, managing WHA's public safety, human resources, and technology services departments. Before joining WHA in 2021, Menard worked at the now-closed Becker College in Worcester, ending his 20-year tenure as the chief of police. Ortiz has been promoted to chief resident programs officer, overseeing WHA programs assisting residents on their road to financial independence including A Better Life and Family Self-Sufficiency. Advancing from his position as assistant vice president of public safety, Peltier is now WHA's vice president of public safety. Chapman has joined Mirick's Boston-based business group as of counsel, representing borrowers and lenders in debt financing. He will represent nonprofit clients including community health centers, schools, and public-access television in addition to for-profit clients including those in the seafood, restaurant, and entertainment industries. Chapman most recently served as partner at Boston- based law firm Burns & Levinson. Silva will offer legal representation including for civil litigation, contested probate, and fiduciary matters at Mirick's Worcester litigation group. A graduate of Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Silva worked as an EMT/ paramedic for 10 years before transitioning to a career in law. He has previously worked at Daniel Walsh & Associates, based in Plymouth, and the law office of James W. Rosseel in Worcester. The EcoTarium, Worcester's museum of science and nature, has elected and re- elected members to its cohort of trustees and corporators. JAMES KANE, president and CEO of Wareham-based cranberry grower and real estate development firm A.D. Makepeace Co., has been elected as trustee. LAURA BEATON, managing director of Boston-based Mortgage Banking at Berkadia, has been re-elected as trustee along with RAYMOND QUINLAN, lead partner, construction manager, and treasurer at the Worcester Public Market. The Women's Bar As- sociation of Massa- chusetts has named NINA DOW, attorney at Worcester's Bowditch & Dewey, as one of four recip- ients of its Emerging Women Leaders in the Law award.
