2 On Dec. 7, 2023, Maine Community Bancorp, MHC,
the parent mutual holding company for Maine Community
Bank, and Gorham Bancorp, MHC, the parent mutual
holding company for Gorham Savings Bank, announced
that they have entered into a definitive agreement to
merge under the Maine Community Bank name. Though
a formal effective date has not yet been set, the combined
bank is expected to be operating on a single system by
the third quarter of 2025.
3 Announced plans to retire at the end of 2024; Lex
Meagher, senior executive vice president and chief credit
officer, is taking on the role of president and will become
CEO upon Paige's retirement.
4 Expected to retire in December 2024, with Gorham
Savings Bank's Steve deCastro to lead the merged entity
