Over the years, Euro-American has grown into a trusted provider of third-party logistics (3PL) services, including air and ocean freight, customs brokerage, and storage solutions through its 45,000 square-foot facility in Worcester, MA, built in 1985. Located at the Worcester Regional Airport, Euro-American offers a temperature- controlled, secure warehouse, staffed by TSA-approved employees and featuring an on-site customs brokerage department. For nearly six decades, the company has been integral to the supply chains of industries ranging from pharmaceuticals and biotech to high-tech equipment. David and Karen Busenburg, the second generation of leadership, led the company for more than 40 years. Karen Busenburg, a trailblazer, earned her U.S. Customs Brokerage License in 1972, becoming the first woman in Massachusetts— and only the fih in the U.S.—to do so. Her expertise helped AstraZeneca secure Foreign Trade Zone status in 2001, catalyzing the growth of pharmaceutical manufacturing in Worcester County. Today, Euro-American remains a family-owned business, now under the leadership of Neal Lucey's grandsons, Marc and Eric Busenburg. Marc serves as Vice President of Global Logistics, while Eric became President in 2018. e company is focused on growth within the life sciences sector, providing specialized storage and shipping services for pharmaceutical manufacturers.
