Recent successes include collaborating to strengthen Maine's system for firearms relinquishment when required by civil court orders and updating the standards for Certified Domestic Violence Intervention Programs. To date, over 1,500 survivors have accessed the fund through our network of members. In 2023, MCEDV provided 107 trainings for over 2,171 professionals – including nurses, clergy, child welfare workers, law enforcement, mental health providers and others – in effectively responding to domestic abuse and violence. is year we are adapting to create engaging online learning experiences. O ur members provide ser vices for people affected by domestic abuse and violence, dating abuse, stalking, elder abuse and sex trafficking and exploitation. e regional Domestic Violence Resource Centers are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, via 24-hour helplines. Our culturally specific members offer services tailored to the needs of immigrant, refugee, asylum-seeking and BIPOC communities. Focusing on issues of equity and access. In 2024, MCEDV will continue expanding our efforts to ensure that interventions for abuse are available to all and that underrepresented communities have a voice at the table. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/ OPPORTUNITIES MCEDV and our member organizations host public outreach events throughout the year to sustain our missions and raise awareness about the impact of domestic abuse and violence in our communities.
