Founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent place to live, we are dedicated to eliminating substandard housing through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training, support and access to resources that help families improve their living conditions. Together, we build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Develop and maintain decent, affordable housing across Maine to provide families a safe place to live. Empower partner families to build and improve their homes, fostering independence and self-sufficiency. Strengthen the structural and financial resilience of our affiliates to support long-term growth and sustainability. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES Financial contributions: Your financial contributions help build and repair homes across Maine. Each local affiliate accepts donations by mail or online payment. Please consider becoming a monthly donor or contributing through donor advised funds, stock donations, memorial, milestone or celebration gifts, matching gifts, and through planned giving opportunities. Donate and SHOP at our local ReStore: Transform lives with your generous in-kind donations. Help us empower others by contributing furniture, appliances and building materials. Proceeds from the sale of your items fund our homebuilding and home repair efforts. Cars for Homes: Did you know by donating your vehicle to Habitat you can help build and repair affordable homes while also helping the environment? In addition to cars and trucks, the Cars for Homes program welcomes RVs, motorcycles, boats, farm and construction equipment. We make it fast and easy to donate a vehicle and you may qualify for a tax deduction. Call 877-277-4344 or visit www.habitat.org/carsforhomes. Local Fundraisers: Host an event or support your closest affiliates' local fundraiser which offers something for everyone including golf tournaments, art auctions and even a tasty beer passport! VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Volunteers are the heart of Habitat and help us to ensure our homes remain affordable. Opportunities are available on the construction/repair sites, in our ReStores or on a committee or board. Each affiliate offers something different. We encourage individuals, corporate and community groups to get involved no matter how much time you have to give. No experience is needed to volunteer on the construction site as staff and volunteers will happily show you the ropes. MAINE AFFILIATES Habitat for Humanity of York County P.O.
