Guided by a recently completed strategic plan, which will take the organization through 2030, and in partnership with the state of Maine's Ending Hunger Roadmap, the Food Bank is committed to providing the nutritious meals people experiencing hunger need today, while partnering to address the root causes of hunger for the future. No one should go hungry, but through a collective, societal response, we can end hunger and ensure that all Mainers have the food they need to live a full and healthy life. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/ OPPORTUNITIES � Create a Virtual Food Drive: Learn more about this creative way to engage employees, clients and other groups in working towards a future where all Mainers are food secure. � Design your own unique community fundraiser to help raise funds and awareness about the issue of food insecurity in our state. � Host a cause-marketing campaign by donating a portion of your product sales. � Tune into the Feed Maine Telethon with NEWS CENTER Maine in May! � Collect food directly for your local food pantries – partners are listed on our website under "Find Food." GIVING OPPORTUNITIES � Join Corporate Partners for a Hun- ger-Free Maine, a group of socially responsible corporations that support our mission through monetary gifts and/or food donations. A variety of recognition opportunities are avail- able to celebrate your contributions! � Start a recurring monthly donation or make a one-time gift online, through the mail, or by calling 207-782-3554. � Include the Food Bank in your estate planning. � Match your employees' donations or volunteer time through our company match program. � Donate a vehicle you no longer need by calling 855-500-RIDE. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES � Corporations, school groups, commu- nity organizations and more are wel- come to volunteer at the Food Bank's two distribution centers (Auburn and Hampden locations). � Volunteers make an impact through variety of different projects based on the present need. � Volunteer at one of our more than 600 hunger-relief organization located throughout the state.
