While turbulent and trying, it was also a chance to build connections, share knowledge, resources and support. e pandemic coincided with a series of economic and cultural shifts that have shown nonprofits to be more valuable and more vulnerable than ever. From the start, MANP stepped up to work closely with our peers and partners to respond and adapt. e learnings gleaned from that period will help inform and focus our work in the years ahead to create a stronger nonprofit sector in Maine by: 1. Inspiring change by amplifying nonprofit voices 2. Advancing equity by expanding access for rural and underserved communities 3. Championing a healthy workforce 4. Helping nonprofits reimagine strategy 5. Building boards that center purpose As Maine's go-to resource for nonprofits, MANP is uniquely positioned to build nonprofit capacity, connections and cross-sector influence to pursue this vision. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/ OPPORTUNITIES Corporate and private donors can help nonprofits access MANP's educational programs and services by contributing to the MANP Access Fund. is fund directly supports nonprofit members who would otherwise not be able to participate due to financial barriers. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES Businesses and individuals may join MANP's membership as a "Friend of MANP" starting at $100 annually. Sponsorship opportunities of MANP's programs and services are also available (separate from membership) and provide valuable marketing opportunities and brand exposure to a statewide network while supporting resources that help Maine's mission-focused organizations operate more effectively. Opportunities include in-person and virtual events, biennial publications, programs in the Get on Board initiative, and many other nonprofit management development happenings VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Nonprofit organizations rely on dedicated and committed volunteers – specifically board members – to achieve their missions. Maine nonprofits consistently name board recruitment as a top challenge. On the flipside, many community members are interested in sharing their skills and perspectives and growing as leaders through board or committee service, but aren't sure where or how to find an opportunity that feels right.
