FUNDRAISING EVENTS/ OPPORTUNITIES In Southern Maine, CCM's annual Put Children First Golf Classic is held every September in the Portland area to support childcare scholarships for low-income families at our two child development centers in Portland and Biddeford. We welcome sponsors at various monetary levels, through volunteering at the event, and enrolling teams! In Northern Maine, our Feed e County initiative brings together businesses and the community to increase awareness of food insecurity. Fundraising includes radio and TV telethons and other local outreach. Money raised supports CCM's Hunger & Relief Services, which operates two food banks, grows and gleans fresh local vegetables through our Farm for ME initiative, and supplies 28-plus food pantries in Northern Maine, which served nearly 34,000 people last year. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES Catholic Charities Maine Community Partners are businesses that make one yearly donation that will, in turn, help thousands of Mainers in need. CCM Corporate Community Partners receive yearlong benefits and exposure as our way of saying "thanks." Threads of Hope Thrift Stores in Caribou, Sanford, Monticello and our largest store in the Presque Isle Mall all welcome clothing, furniture and houseware donations. We will provide a Drop Box to your company site for collection purposes on a temporary or ongoing basis. CCM's Refugee & Immigration Services has served thousands of refugees from many cultures. Often, refugees leave their home countries with very little and may not be equipped for Maine weather. We welcome in-kind donations to support families as they start their new lives in Maine. We accept new and gently used items without stains, rips or broken zippers. We are unable to launder or repair items. Our needs change, so please check our website.
